While our exact formula remains a closely guarded secret, all our rums are aged in Oloroso sherry casks for different periods of time.
Two Stars is aged between 3 and 5 years, Three Stars between 6 and 10 years, Four Stars up to 20 years, and Five Stars up to 35 years.
Our rums undergo a traditional maceration process that contributes to their distinctive aroma and flavor profile. Each batch is produced in small quantities under the supervision of our Master Blender, Luis Planas.
Ron del Barrilito has been crafted in the same way and in the same place since 1880. We age our rum from start to finish in Oloroso sherry casks, use only naturally collected rainwater, and never add sugar, artificial flavorings, or caramel coloring. Our deep amber color develops naturally through the aging process.
No. We do not add sugar, artificial sweeteners, flavors, or caramel coloring at any stage of production.
Our rums are available in select retailers in Puerto Rico and internationally. Please visit our Store Locator.
Five Stars is available for purchase online through select distributors. Four Stars is exclusively available at our Visitor Center gift shop at Hacienda Santa Ana in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
We do not ship alcohol directly from the Hacienda. However, you may purchase online through our authorized distributor for delivery.
