While we can't reveal our exact formula, we can say that all of our rum's are aged in ex-oloroso white oak sherry barrels for varying lengths. Two Stars is aged for 3-5 years, Three Stars is aged for 6-10 years, Four Stars is aged for up to 20 years, and Five Stars is aged for up to 35 years. All of our products go through the ancient process of maceration to impart their characteristic flavor profile and aroma. From there, all products are blended and bottled in very small batches, overseen by our renowned Master Blender Luis Planas. We use no added sugars, artificial flavorings, or caramel coloring. The deep amber hue of our rums happens naturally, through the undisturbed aging process.The only water we use is sustainably harvested from rainfall and each bottle is labeled and packed by hand.

While you do not need a reservation to visit the Visitor Center or gift shop, we still recommend calling or emailing us ahead of your visit, as it can get very busy. A reservation is needed for any of the tours we offer and can be booked here.

We offer three unique tours, designed to give you an authentic Ron del Barrilito experience!

• Our Heritage Tour helps you learn about the history and unique craftsmanship of Ron del Barrilito.
• Our Mixology Tour will help you become the star of the bar and improve your bartending game, with interactive classes taught by superstar mixologists who will show you how to make show-stopping cocktails. This tour includes a complimentary heritage tour and cocktail at our bar.
• Our Tasting Tour is a unique opportunity to sip and enjoy all of our rums - from the classic Three Stars to the extremely limited-edition Five Stars. This tour includes a Heritage tour and a complimentary cocktail at our bar.

Reservations are not necessary, but are strongly recommended to assure your space in the tour and can be booked here.

Our Visitor Center is open Monday through Saturday, from 9am - 5:30pm for tours, and until 6:30pm for our bar and gift shop.

Minors under 18 are allowed in the visitor center, gift shop, and Heritage tour, but not at the bar. Mixology and Tasting tours are 18+.

5 Stars can be bought online, but 4 Stars is only available at the Visitor Center Gift Shop.

We cannot ship alcohol directly from the Hacienda, but you can purchase online, for delivery through our distributor.

Yes, guests can enjoy a drink at the bar or purchase from our gift shop, without a tour reservation.
